Eliava - 2008:

Phage Biology, Ecology and Therapy Meeting
June 12-15, 2008, Tbilisi, Georgia

Dear conference participant,

As many of you know, the Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology (Tbilisi, Georgia) is holding a conference: “Eliava-2008: Phage Biology, Ecology and Therapy Meeting”, which will be held on June12-15, 2008 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

We are looking forward to meet you soon in Tbilisi. We would like to remind you the following details:

The organizing committee will cover the hotel expenses for 4 nights (up to 120 USD/night, breakfast included) for those that do not use other funding sources.

Extra days and expenses for accompanying persons, if required, can be booked through Dr. Nina Chanishvili or Dr. Mzia Kutateladze and paid on arrival.

You are advised to book the flights as soon as possible since prices often increase closer to the date of flying.

Your travel information is requested to be done BEFORE May 25, 2008.

Participants will be met at the airport by the local organizers.

The organizing committee will provide free transportation from the airport and back to ALL conference participants

Let us remind you that the ISTC workshop does not provide the participants with health insurance. This should be a responsibility of each participant.

The conference will be held in the Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology & Virology (Gotua street 3). All transfers between the hotels and conference center will be arranged.

Conference working language: English

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Duration of the presentation approximately 20 minutes, plus 5 minutes for questions.

Speakers should use power point for their presentations.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The poster dimensions should not exceed 120 cm in height and 100 cm in width.
Character height recommendation 2.5-3.0 cm for the title, 1,0-1,5 cm for heading and 0,5-0,8 cm for the text.
The presenters are required to stay in front of their own poster during the Poster Session to discuss and answer the questions.

350 USD for European, US and Asian participants
200 USD for Ph.D Students

Registration fees of the CIS participants will be covered by Organizing Committee.

Registration fees include provision of coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, conference hand books, social program, transportation from airport and back and a shuttle between the hotel and conference hall.
