George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology (further on the Eliava IBMV or the Eliava Institute) is a research institution currently operating under authority of the Ministry of Science and Education of Georgia

The Eliava Institute is a world known institution working in the field of Applied Microbiology, Virology and Infectious Immunology. The main direction of the Institute since its establishment in the early 20’s of XX century remains study of bacteriophages and phage therapy.
